Amy M. Stone

Amy was born and raised in California. Her father was an amateur painter, psychologist, and became a globally recognized contemporary art collector. Her mother founded one of the first schools that embedded social and emotional learning into the curriculum. She received a Bachelor’s degree in art history from New York University and had her first careers in the art world as a director of exhibitions, art advisor, and finally founded her own company that worked with artists exploring a transition in their practices. When her children were in high school, Amy changed careers and received a Master of Social Work from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Amy had a career as a psychotherapist focused on trauma recovery.

In 2022, Amy and her husband retired and moved to New Hope. One constant in her adult life has been philanthropy. Amy is President of a long-standing family foundation, WC & JV Stone Foundation, and has recently formed the N2 Stone Foundation.
