Uncharted Territories Opening Celebration

ArtYard is excited to announce an Uncharted Residence pop-up exhibition at the Reading Room at our Bridge Street Residence, 12 Bridge St., hosted by Steamroller Group.

Uncharted Territories, the first in a proposed series, incorporates imagery created by artists responding to the written word using a variety of traditional printmaking techniques. The artists handbound the broadsides into a limited-edition artist book, exhibited in a group show at the Hunterdon Art Museum in Clinton, NJ, in the summer of 2026.

Steamroller Group, comprising artists Val Sivilli, Susan Mania, Kazaan Viveiros, Bonnie Berkowitz, and Cay Maria Adams, collaborated with poet Vasiliki Katsarou, who curated a collection of 20 poems exploring ideas of navigation, being lost, and being found.

A special opening celebration will be held 6 to 8 PM on Friday, Nov. 6, as part of Frenchtown’s First Friday festivities.

Val and Ulla Warchol designed the book. Overall, the project involves 40 participating poets and artists.
