Paper Sculpture Workshop with Elsa Mora

ArtYard is honored to host a workshop by acclaimed artist and ArtYard’s own Artistic Director and Curator, Elsa Mora, of her original paper sculpture techniques, developed from her own research and artistic practice. Join us for the first-ever demonstration and hands-on introduction to these techniques: featuring a wide array of dry and wet paper sculpture methods, with a diversity of paper.

In this 3 hour workshop, participants will observe a 45 minute demonstration of a variety of paper sculpting practices, followed by a two hour hands-on session in which they will complete two of their own works. Learn about the beautiful possibilities of paper as a dynamic, expressive, and three-dimensional medium. This workshop is in conjunction with the exhibition, Paper Weight: Works in Paper by Elsa Mora, on view at ArtYard from January 18 – April 12, 2020.

Paper enthusiasts of all levels are welcome, ages 18 and up. This workshop will take place at ArtYard on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 10:00am-1:00pm. This workshop has limited space so please sign up early
