Green Fair & Sustainability Talks (Frenchtown Eco-Week)

Apr 14, 2024
11am — 5pm

This April, Frenchtown is celebrating Earth Day with a week of events and activities that focus on sustainability, slow-paced and thoughtful creation, earth-friendly living habits, and utilizing your community as a resource. Frenchtown Eco-Week, from Sunday, April 7 to 14, is hosted by Love Frenchtown, the borough’s business and professional association and features a slow fashion show, clothing swap, green fair, sustainability talks, and more for all ages.

ArtYard is excited to partner with Love Frenchtown and join in the Frenchtown Eco-Week celebration as a host to two of the organization’s events — an Eco-Week Fashion Show and its culminating Green Fair and Sustainability Talks.

The Green Fair, on Sunday, April 14, features local vendors, artisans, farm-fresh produce, environmental organizations, eco-crafts for all, and a Buy-Nothing yard sale. Community members are invited to stop by an interactive marketplace at Sunbeam Lenape Park and ArtYard’s courtyard from 11 AM to 5 PM.

This event is organized by Love Frenchtown. For more information, visit their website.

In addition, a series of Sustainability Talks featuring speakers on Sustainability at Home, Sustainability in Lifestyle and Art, and Sustainability in our Communities are at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM Sunday in ArtYard’s second-floor Lynn & John Kearney Gallery, where Plasticity, an exhibition featuring works by Spanish designer Alvaro Catalán de Ocon’s which illuminate an ugly truth about plastic contamination and the global commercialization of waste, is currently on view.
