Clara Weishahn

Clara Weishahn grew up in rural southeast Alaska and now lives in Newtown, Pennsylvania. She studied visual art and theater at the University of Alaska Southeast, Portland State University, the Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Training in Philadelphia, and the London International School of Performing Arts in Berlin. For over 15 years, she worked on scripted, devised, classical, and operatic works in the Pacific Northwest, New England, and the mid-Atlantic region.

Clara is a Penn State Master Gardener Volunteer and earned a certificate in horticulture from the Barnes Arboretum at Saint Joseph’s University. She is a floral designer and flower grower. Clara and her husband Alex Cohen curate Art at Kings Oaks, a biennial art exhibition that presents up to 28 international artists’ work in an historic barn and chapel at Kings Oaks farm in Newtown, Pennsylvania. They also host live arts events, classes, film shoots, and artist residencies.
