Alex Cohen

Alex Cohen is a Bucks County native who lives in Newtown, Pennsylvania. He studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Alex has exhibited in galleries across the U.S. and internationally, most recently participating in solo exhibitions at Pamela Salisbury Gallery in Hudson, New York, and at Vardan Gallery in Los Angeles. He is a teacher and a frame-maker.

In 2012, Alex and neighboring artists initiated an art exhibition called Art at Kings Oaks on an historic farm in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Cohen and his wife Clara Weishahn curate the exhibition every other autumn, presenting up to 28 international artists’ work in the historic barn and chapel at Kings Oaks. They also host live arts events, classes, film shoots, and artist residencies.
