Born and raised in México, Teresa Camou Guerrero is a puppeteer, filmmaker, and founder and director of El Teatro Indígena de la Sierra Tarahumara, a native Mexican puppet theatre company. She has a B.A. in visual arts and social science from Bennington College.
As a filmmaker, SUNU is her first feature film, and she has also produced and directed two short animation films: TEWE CHIVA NESERO (2007) and EL ENTIERRO (2008). Her latest work is the documentary film CRUZ (2021), selected at Morelia Film Festival 2021.
