Britton & The Sting is an alternative soul band making waves in New York City’s vibrant music scene. Blending funk, gospel, rock, and deeply personal storytelling, the group’s emotionally charged songs are carried by mesmerizing melodies that linger long after the music ends.
The band recently joined Sammy Rae & The Friends as a support act on their world tour and has sold out performances at iconic venues including the Apollo Theater, Music Hall of Williamsburg, Rockwood Music Hall, Nublu, and Joe’s Pub. Their work has been featured in Vanity Fair, Vogue, The New Yorker, FAULT Magazine, and PAPER Magazine, which included their anthem “Let’s Get Drunk and Go to Church” on its “Bops Only: 10 Songs You Need to Start Your Weekend Right” list. The song has reached listeners in more than 44 countries.
In 2020, Britton & The Sting’s NPR Tiny Desk Contest submission was recognized as a Top Pick, further cementing the band’s reputation as one of the most compelling new voices in alternative soul.
